PARIS: JOHN GALLIANO MAKES A COMEBACK

The shamed fashion designer, ousted from Dior in 2011 following anti-Semitic tirades, and with a stint in rehab under his belt, previewed his first collection as Creative Director of a rebaptised Maison Margiela in January in London. The ‘Artisanal’ couture line for the Paris based fashion house was warmly received by the critics, with Suzy Menkes writing in Vogue that Galliano’s return ‘must be welcomed by anyone who loves the glory of the extraordinary.’ Galliano is to present his debut prêt-à-porter collection during Paris Fashion Week in March.
